Music Drops Out Every Minute

I have a wireless home network set up where I have my mp3s on one machine, and I'm trying to play them via Winamp on another machine on the network. When I play a song, the music stops for about 2 seconds every minute or so, then starts up again and the pattern repeats itself. This does not happen when I play an mp3 locally, or when I play remote mp3s with other media players.

Anybody know what might be going on?
