Multiuser / Plugins

Hi everybody

is it possible to install plugins separate fpr each user? the winamp folder in the "Application Data"-Directory has a Plugins-Folder. How can I make winamp load plugins only out of this folder?

thanks and a happy new year

plugins will only be loaded out of %winampdir%\plugins and not out of the application data folder (would be a nightmare to maintain like that and since so few plugins have even been updated to work with the new mutli-user setup it would be pointless sadly since a lot would place their settings in the wrong places)

and a happy new years back as well

You could try to change the path of DSP and Visualisation plug-ins to your multi user path.

Preferences -> Plugins

But I don't know if this works, heh

[Edit]too slow (not a good beginning for a new year )

okay, thanks for answering that quick

ehm my actual problem has to do with the winampStarter
I have two windows users and want to store the winampStarter-INI-File for each user sperately. u got an idea how to manage this? or at least solve that "happy-new-year"-problem

edit: perhaps the sollution is even much simplier - do you know a plugin which saves the last song position and continues playing there, AND supports winXP multiuser?

At a guess: DrO's Time Restore & Autoplay plug-in maybe?

the timerestore plugin will do that as long as winamp has been setup to use the mult-user feature (which is one up on winampstarter which tried to use a totally different winamp folder when i re-reviewed it - the joys of a main and multiple test installs, heh)
