But seriously. I've got a fountain pen somewhere. It was given to me as a gift a long time ago. It's not really expensive, but it's nice. I just don't like using fountain pens because they're impractical, they're usually bulky, they can get quite messy, etc etc. They're nice as gifts, though. They're also awesome for calligraphy, too.

I like these Skilcraft pens for a number of reasons... They're small, so they'll fit in my pocket pen loop easily. The ink well is brass, and the whole pen is tough. They're simple. They're inexpensive. They write very nicely. And they're made in America by Americans with disabilities that might otherwise not have jobs.

Oh, and last purchased:

A pair of replacement bulbs for an old AA Maglite flashlight and a tank of gas for my truck.

Fountain pens are awesome for everything, and I find them easier to use than a ball point (assuming it's a good pen that doesn't constantly clog). The biggest problem with them is that since they use such a liberal amount of ink, it often bleeds through standard notebook paper.

Oh, and I just ordered a Linksys WRT350N router and a WPC300N PCMCIA adapter. I'll have the router for about five minutes before it's converted to DD-WRT firmware.

But, there is nothing more annoying than running out of ink in the middle of class and having to take out a bottle. . .

The canner uses the canning/mason jars just like the ones you posted (or any other variety of canning jar). What I meant by a 'canner' is actually just a huge pressure cooker that sits on a stovetop. It's a 33qt. model that holds 9 quart jars.

I just got back from Subway about an hour ago.

Ordered 2 slices of pizza and potato wedges from Godfathers Pizza (right next to Subway, ran by the same people)

Also ordered a footlong steak and cheese sub on honey oat bread. Pepper jack cheese, lettuce, olives, mustard and ranch dressing. Will eat that during work tonight.

Ordered two footlong Italian BMTs on white. Pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, olives, banana peppers, mustard, mayo. Will have one at work tomorrow, and the second one probably the day after.

Got a can of grape NOS as well as two cans of Monster Kaos drink. Had a Monster with the pizza.

Picked up 3 quarts of 5W30 motor oil, too.
