Problem with High Definition Audio driver

hi,

i have a Realtek ALC880 on board sound card with High definition audio driver and the problem is , that i have no Microphone in output.

i just have the port names (my microphone port in output is called "Rear Pink In") , so when i use push to talk in shoutcast it does affect only WAVE, but not my microphone, so the music turns down but the microphone even dont activate

Please help me !

This is cuz you can program it... its a 5.1 device with 7 ports. Each of it could be Microphone, or even output to headphones or hifi-device.

There is no fix port for Microphone. Of course i use the "red port" , but i could also use another port like Black or even the Green, which is standard for the Output.

i only ask because vista is crap and causes many problems.

as for your problem its better to use the windows
mixer utilty instead of the realtek one because it
is very buggy software for streaming.

the driver is fine its just the mixer that comes with it
that is not very good when using shoutcast.

This is where I found the solution to my problem:

Go to YouTube.com and search for "How to enable Stereo Mix in Vista"

Dude , youre completely wrong in this thread...

its not about finding stereomix. rather to find an option to toggle microphone on when pushing "push to talk" button, when you don't have a microphone controller, cuz you got a programable soundcard with just "rear pink in" "rear green in" "rear black in" etc...

Was a solution ever found to this problem? or is the answer just what was posted in the other topic "Rear Pink In slider - doesn't work with Push to Talk", to manually adjust the mic's volume in Windows Volume Control?

Does anyone know a way to point SHOUTcast toward 'Rear Pink In' or if there are generic drivers for the Realtek ALC880 that will call the 'Rear Pink In', 'Microphone'? Is the problem that SHOUTcast needs it to be called 'Microphone' ? I've only deduced this since the microphone works fine otherwise and the WAVE slider complies to SHOUTcast, while 'Rear Pink In' does not.
