What server error? Both the Winamp Forums and the Promote Winamp link are working fine here (user end).

There is the occasional server hiccup, which is usually intermittent, sporadic and is fixed/disappears within several (or less) hours.

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

My brother,

It doesn't tell you what the error is! It just says there is one. So the form I spent x minutes filling out so that we could promote was for naught and as far as we can tell didn't get submitted thats the server error. Thanks for watching our backs dude. Peace out Butch

So is it the Distribution Agreement Form you are talking about?

Winamp Forums have very little with the development or coding of Winamp.com. We are basically a group of volunteers. However, the proper people do spend time checking the forum so this may have already grabbed their attention.

BTW, if you have a website and are looking for some Winamp.com link buttons, check this thread out.

I re-entered all of the info in the distribution form and this time it did get setup! My next question can I do this? Can I upload Winamp to a linux server, install it and have it play a selected station upon entry to my site with a link to shoutcast to change the stream or god forbid turn it off!

Ps I was born with great looks Not brains so the explanation needs to be in 10 year old terms. Ps it is an oscommerce site if that helps? The more handholding explanations I get the better?

If I understand correctly, you want to use Winamp like an embedded player much in the same way Windows Media Play can be used/controlled from a webpage. Winamp does not have that functionality.

Winamp is a client/user side application and runs on the Windows platform.

Thanks for the information Jonny, I stiil plan to promote though and while we're talking this only happens with this newest version of Winamp when I click the amp it ALWAYS opens the allow annymus usage window? Also when you change the skin it used to remain that skin but now no it always defaults back to old skin and opens that bloody allow annymus usage box how can I fix it? Thanks again for all your help. This is the way all forums should run!!

That has been a reported issue with the Windows Washer cleaner application or it could be another temp file cleaner. More information and suggested fixes about Winamp settings not being saved correctly here and/or here.

Still having troubles? Please provide system & Winamp specs.

Well, generally help here is specific to Winamp.

However, if you can provide a link or example maybe I or someone else here can suggest something.

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

actually the file is located on my server dude which requires admin permissions and all that to get to it. I really really enjoyed your help dude as far as I can tell that webwasher program was the culprit cause I changed the file attributes like you said shut her down and reopened and the skin was all good and the allow stat box didn't come up so you nailed that one! Nice job I bet your unappreciated! You got my vote man.
Are you able to delete all our talks too or do you need me to do sometin? Let me know again thanks

Just as a FYI...

A long long time ago in a place far far away there was a early alpha version of Winamp3 for Lunix.
