Asian letters in Winamp

Hello there. I listen to a lot of Asian music, and I like to use Winamp for that purpose. However, I have one problem. This is that the player does not display asian letters by default. It does if I change my WINDOWS settings to Japanese, but then, some of my input buttons change. Is there a way to have Winamp display them while Windows is set to English language? I have installes support for Japanese, and it works in other media players like QCD/QMP without having to set the WINDOWS settings to Japanese. Look at the screenshot:

The Japanese letters in Winamp are instead replaced by '??????' or completely removed I really want to use Winamp, so I hope there is a way to fix this without having to set the whole Windows to Japanese.

You have to use Njstar communicator or Asian Suite in order to view Asian (Japanese , Korean , Chinese)languages in English Windows system.

Njstar might have conflict with Windows IE IME (might be installed with internet explorer by user. IME is for typing non English language in IE)

As for me, my WinAmp (latest one) crashes after a few songs on the list is played, all with long Japanese song titles.

my question is : I wonder if the Japanese characters in the IDV tag are causing the problem with WinAmp.

I upgraded to 5.33 from 5.32 using Windows 98 (yes I am still using it). It seems to be working fine now. In 5.32, I got error fatal error from IN_MP3.dll. I don't know why. Now, I do not have any problem playing songs with long Japanese names.

Correction for the last message (since I can't edit it anymore). It is supposed to be ID3v1 tag , not IDV tag.

I spoke too soon in my last message, latest WinAMp still crashed for some reasons.

Upon checking the setting for the playlist, "Use skin or language pack font" is unchecked by default.

...but I would choose the "right" font for the list and see how it goes.

thanks.

After several days of evaluation, it seems to be working fine by setting the font to the Japanese font in WinAmp 5.33.

Thanks.
