Winamp mp3 mono mode

Hello Dear Winamp developer team !

In the older winamp I can change the mp3 input decoder into mono downmix mode, but this function I not found in the winamp 5.x version. I wish put back this option into the newest winamp. Thanks.

But I think he wanted really mono decoding, so that CPU usage is lowered.

Does the decoder to a mono decoding if "Playback -> Force mono" is active? Or is it just downmixed after decoding?

It's downmixed after decoding. It's always been like that. Even the old '8 bit' setting just decimated to 8bit after decoding. It's not a speed improvement, it's actually a little slower

Oh, that's really bad practice, isn't it?
Especially when writing "This option will lower CPU usage on stereo files" - that's, kidding the user?!?

I really didn't think that about winamp...

Winamp never used much CPU on my system(s), so who cares?
