Help with plug-in submission

I have a new version of my output plug-in ready for release. I submitted a new entry for it a while back and became impatient waiting for it to be approved. So, I decided to try and edit the published version. The submission site complains that a component exists with that name. This is no doubt a conflict with my waiting unpublished submission, so I delete that. When I try again, I get the same message. Now I am unable to use the name that I want for either editing my published plug-in submission or trying to create a new submission. The component submission system is really frustruating!

Could whoever is in charge of the component submission system please contact me so my mistaken submission identifiers can be removed so I may reuse them?

Also, is there any way to fast-track approval? I just have a new version of something that has already been reviewed and it seems silly to have to wait weeks for it to be accepted.

Once a name has been used in the database, even when the component is deleted you can't re-use that name again.

just add v1 or something to the end of it.

My plugin

Becomes...

My plugin v1

Just a quirk of the system, it's always been like that.

And no, there is no fast track, stuff gets reviewed as and when there are people available to do it.

I did have something added to the end. I went from 'v1' to 'v2'. But because 'v2' is now marked as used, I cannot fix my mistake. I understand that it is present in the database now. My question is why can't someone who administers that database go in and make a correction since I am only colliding with my mistake, not someone else's legitimate submission.

Seems foolish that if I make one mistake with one name or naming scheme, I need to invent an entirely new one so that I am using unique names again according to the submission database (which can't possibly be write once).

How about this thought: Can something be marked as undeleted, since my 'v2' submission was all good? I just thought it might be faster to edit my 'v1' submission rather than create a new one. And now I am in this component submission system purgatory!
