Hi,
I just downloaded the shoutcast server, plug-in and codec and installed it all on a PC. I put a CD in, started up winamp, and it's playing the CD. I can then click on "connect" for the plug-in and I see it connect to the shoutcast server. Ok, great. Now, I go to another pc... what do I need to do on THAT pc so it can listen to the CD playing on my shoutcast server? I know it's probably a real simple thing to do but I can't seem to find the answer. Any help would be appreciated. -Gary |

Hrm...RTFM.
But to answer your question....try opening winamp on the scond computer, right clicking on the player and choose "play/location" and insert your server's IP/hostname with the port you assigned the server to run on in the field. Then hit open... ex: http://www.someserver.com:8000 |
