well, i see you guys have not only started requiring shoutcast rather than another server [like icecast, etc] to be running [which is totally fine- its your software], but you *banned* all the hostnames of anyone who was once listed before! this is just plain dirty. i almost gave in and set up a relay server using shoutcast [yp.shoutcast.com brings me mad crazy amounts of web hits], but when i tried it, i still didn't get listed.. tried it from another host, and it goes right in! whats the deal guys? i can understand the marketing tactics, but this is just selling out right there.

Hmmmm. . . .which other server are you using? From what I know, SHOUTcast allows IceCast servers to list. I see IceCast servers there now.
Maybe you it hates just you. What are you using? -- Kas - radio decay | ambient & dark ambient http://listen.to/radiodecay |

yeah, we've got no beef against jack and the icecast gang (yay open source wish we could do it too)
chances are you're on a subnet someone was faking listeners from before. send me mail if you want to talk about it. (tom@shoutcast.com) |
