Winamp 5.35 + Vista DWM Issues

Whenever I run Winamp 5.35 in Vista with Aero Glass running, the RAM utilized by Desktop Window Manager increases by 800+ MB. I believe that Winamp is calling upon resources incorrectly through DWM & thus creating a major performance hit. I'm currently using the Drone v1.1 skin and when I switch to the Classic skin, the RAM utilization drops back down the original maximum.

Please make Winamp's skinning API compatible or take advantage of DWM.

Anyone else noticing this issue or can a developer/moderator please give a response as to why this is happening? A detailed response for this would do nicely.
