Hey, I've been using Shoutcast for quite some time now, and all has worked great up untill now. Just the other day, I tried connecting to my server so I could stream some MP3s to my pals, and it would connect, but it wouldn't send any source. Now, I've downloaded a few plug-ins lately (Crossfading, etc), but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Does anyone know what the problem is?

You may want to remove your SHOUTcast DSP DLL & reinstall. I happened to me before and that seemed to fix it.

Thanx for the suggestion, I tried this several times, I've even uninstalled and reinstalled Winamp, but I still seem to have the same problem. It connects to the server perfectly fine and says "Source stream connected." but doesn't send any of the song I'm playing to the server itself...then the server returns with the message:
<06/06/00@20:38:15> [source] no data (30s timeout). disconnecting. <06/06/00@20:38:22> [yp_add] error connecting to yp.shoutcast.com Is this an error on my side or what? Thanx for you help anyhow... - Sackett - |

I am having the same problem. I get rejected from my own server. I have not had any problems with my server untill I upgraded Winamp(to version 263 from 262). Before that I had no problems. I uninstalled and downloaded everything over again and reinstalled it. Same problem NO SOURCE. If you got the answer please e-mail me at discjock_2000@yahoo.com i could use the help. I miss broadcasting

I thought I was the only one who had this problem. I did reinstall everything including winamp 2.63 and I get the same problem. Funny thing though you can stream wave files perfectly but when it comes to mp3s it just won't recognize it or something.

There are known broadcast issues with Winamp 2.63....go back to version 2.62 and it'll probably fix your problems.

Hey I am now happy
I can broadcast. Winamp 262 works very well now that I switched to that. If you have this problem you need to go back to version 262. Thanks for the help now I can broadcast again. ![]() Thanks to everyone. Chad |

Glad it worked for you! I believe there is a fix for 2.63 in the works, if it's not done already. However, in general, it's best to wait a while before upgrading to new versions of Winamp and Shoutcast to see what kind of problems they generate. Saves a lot of headaches that way. :-)
