Problems Encoding - AVI to NSV

I've been searching and searching, so I figured I'd ask directly. I'm having an encoding problem using NSVTools to encode an AVI to NSV for streaming. My DNAS server (shoutcast server) properly broadcasts the audio, but there's no associated video. Also the encoded nsv file appears to be extremely small as compared to the source - approx. 20MB as opposed to the source file of 120MB. From this I can conclude that apparently only the video is missing from the NSV.

File details:
Currently used filters -
AVI Splitter
MPEG Layer-3 Decoder
XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder
Video Size: 640x480
Audio: 48000Hz, 16bps, 2ch
Bitrate: 987kbps

I was trying to encode using the VP3 settings, to 500kbps, but apparently it doesn't like that - video is still missing.

When I was doing it on the command line, I noticed the frame processing was rather inconsistent... So I started with the GUI, and noticed that it was modest in speed at start, then at around 17 minutes, it started going wildly quick.

Any other information that you need? I've tried forcing DS on the encoder, and without it, same file size results. Do I have to convert this from AVI to MPEG, then to NSV?
