The VOB problem in Winamp

I have been using Winamp from the very first version. Unfortunately I am having this VOB problem for the last few months. I actually posted a thread before but I was too busy for the answer.

I am using the K-L*** M*** Codec Pack 2.15 with all the default settings except one. I am using FFDShow for DVD(mpeg-2) since all the other DVD decoders are faulty.

The FFDShow works just fine in other media players but when it comes to Winamp 5.35(or else) the video/sound plays very slower in some VOB/mpeg 2 files.

My config:

ATI X1600XT + Any version of Catalyst (7.1 - 7.2 ... 7.5)

Windows XP Professional

I am posting the example screen shot.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Edit: It appears I did not get any answers for that first thread at all...

I have been using the K-Lite Mega Codec pack for a while now. Currently, I use the latest version(1.64) and I have this problem. It seems to work fine with Windows Media Player 11 and the "Media Player Classic" that comes with the codec pack. The thing is when I open some kind of files with latest(5.32) Winamp, the playback(both sound and video) is too slow. I tried to use different MPEG-2 options like the ffdshow or the Gabest, Main Concept, Ligos or the others... I tried to use older Winamp versions or older K-Lite Codec versions and other codecs too. Whatever I try, Winamp always opens those files slow. No problem with other players though... I want to use Winamp with all my files without any problems. Any ideas?

P.s: Those are the files that come as .VOB and you got to change the extension to .avi to open with both WMP or Winamp. If changed to mpg files, WMP still opens but Winamp crashes.

*The Media Player Classic opens all files(even .VOB) and it is excellent but I don't want to use it due to poor equalizer quality. Winamp is really easy and the sound is great.

DJ Egg, you seem to be helpful to others. Don't you have an opinion on this?

List of Plugins, dxdiag log, MediaInfo logs required.

Using latest ffdshow?
Using latest AC3Filter?

Tried setting ffdshow to decode AC3 Audio (instead of AC3Filter)?

What does K-Lite Codec pack have to do with anything? (other than the fact that you've installed it, and codec packs are known to cause problems, hence why we do not recommend them here)

Are all the problem .vob / .mpg files using mpeg-2 video and ac3 audio?

What are your settings in Winamp > Prefs > Video > Advanced section?

Using Winamp Classic skin, Wnamp Modern skin, or some 3rd-party Modern skin?

All my settings are default in winamp and I don't use any 3rd party programs.

Setting the ffdshow audio filter to AC3 liba52 or S/Pdif doesn't make any difference...

The thing I notice is that

AC3Filter
ffdshow video decoder
MPEG-2 Demultiplexer

The files that use those have this problem.

AC3Filter
ffdshow video decoder
MPEG-2 Splitter

The files that use those do not have any problems.

So what is the difference between the Demultiplexer and the Splitter and how can I set the files to use it.

1. Uninstall the evil codec pack and hope doing so doesn't break your system.

2. Install ac3filter and ffdshow.

3. See if it works (ac3filter comes with an mpeg2 parser).
