Volume Problems

We are using winamp and shoutcast to stream mp3's and radio stations to our customers phone systems. it works VERY good, except for a problem with volume.

We find the volume to be too loud and unfortunately there is is not a way to turn down the volume on the phone system.

Winamp and shoutcast are running on a dell server so there is no sound card. For output i'm using the null output plugin.

it streams really well, we just need to turn the volume down.

Any ideas?

Open winamp's equalizer and use "preamp" slider for volume.
Don't forget to press the 'on' button on equalizer window :-)
