Ban IP
How would I ban certain IP's, there are some nagging IP addresses that keep hitting my server

There is a way to edit sc_serv, but I don't want to srew up so can I get a walk through.

Best way not to screw up: make a copy of the file and edit the copy. If you trash it, then you have your backup. |

You always can block bad ip's/subnets by creating rules for your machine's firewall. That is OS dependant, windows xp (at least "home") has not that feature in it's default firewall, as I know. But You always can install additional firewall software.
Also you can list bad ips in "sc_serv.ban", also enabling ban file ir sc_serv.ini, section 'access control', only uncomment line "; BanFile=sc_serv.ban". Also that file is automatically generated if You do ban through Your servers http interface (if You do not know it, you can connect to http:/ /localhost:PORT from Your browser) |
