re-shoutcasting
dear friends,
how to make shoutcast to re-braocast the station, if it's link ends with directory, for example "http: //82. 135. 234. 199/ Opus3" (that one is wma2) I can't find the place to write in the adress in the config file. There is only hostname/ip and port ![]() rebradcasting is needed for LAN use only, I want to save bandwith as some our workers simultaneusly listens to one station. One way is being cruel sysadmin and not alowing listening at all. Another one is rebroadcasting some "our company's top" stations. I already have found one way - it is listening with winamp and sending through dsp. But I have problems setting not one winamp starting from the bat script - they see each other, overtakes links, settings and so on... regards, tomas |

If that is a Windows Media stream, it isn't SHOUTcast. Can try something like Stream Transcoder.

shoutcast will not relay windows and the stream transcoder for this is very flakey but you can give it a try.
you will find this @ http://www.oddsock.org/tools/streamTranscoder/ and support for this is in the oddsock forums |

Or I suppose you can set up Winamp and the SHOUTRcast DSP on one system. Turn the DSP on "Soundcard Input" and stream to a local SHOUTcast DNAS server.

Sawg, no, I ment I can not have two winamps + 2 dsp's + 2 shoutcasts. In real I can, and it works, but I cannot setup winamps to start automatically with windows and not to interfere with each other. I only can start each of them manually, open playlists manually and then it works.
many thanks for help, nick@ss. |
