saving all the shoutcast directory pls files for use in os x
I was a windows user for some time using winamp, but now I use os x (intel mac) and miss the shoutcast radio stations directory it automatically loads inside winamp with the top 500 stations that are searchable and all. Is there a way to save all of the .pls files or do I need to click tune in and download each .pls file for each station and load them into a playlist inside itunes? or maybe a mod for itunes that does the same thing like in winamp.
Thanks |

dude. Use the web and videolan for the mac. Do not save the .pls files as IP addresses can change.

There isn't any way to get a cached version of wherever winamp saves them in xp? I've searched around through the directories but I can't seem to find something that resembles it. I really wanna have all of shoutcast in itunes.
I wouldn't mind redoing the list if the ips change, I've been using the same links in itunes for a while now for the DI radio stations. Thanks again |

then the only way you are going to get that is to save the individual playlists and add them to itnues.
please note that iTunes will not play any aac+ stream as iTunes does not support the audio format. |

Some days ago, I wrote a program for to merge and export selected streams into a pls file.
It is called ShoutScan and can be download on heinelt.info. It is a Windows application and pretty easy to use. For sure, it is free of charge! Maik |
