Pausing streaming Shoutcast wire subscriptions

Fairly consistently, when I'm playing a live stream via an RSS subscription and I pause the audio; after resuming it, it will play for a few seconds, then stop and go back to the beginning. This is really annoying. Can anyone else reproduce this problem?

I did search on this topic and couldn't find any results.

This depends on how the station has automated the stream,

nothing you can do your side is going to change it.

contact the stream vendor.

This happens invariably with *every* feed. These are feeds to flat MP3 files. I think the problem is the way Winamp plays the file as it's progressively downloaded.
