Title XML DSP WINAMP
Hello, I use an automation program of my radio and he generates a file XML with information on the name of the music that this playing and of the next five music that will play.
I would like to know how to put the information of the music that this playing in DSP of Winamp, because my use two sound cards in my computer and the sound that's leaves the automation program of my radio is going for a plate and later it is going for cable to another plate for the winamp to process the sound for me and title it of the music doesn't appear in the winamp. Does anybody know how to solve that problem? Thank you

Updating the DSP with any info is a bad idea. It will cause a disconnect from dnas, and the yp will unlist you.

ok, the only way you can do that from what you have said, is use some sort of a script to update the title information. When you do this, the dsp will notice that information changed, drop the source, reconnect, etc.
The dsp will not get title updates from a line in and there is no way to make that happen. The best you can do is leave the dj's name in the title... |

You can send titles directly to the shoutcast server using the updinfo command, but you still need to know *what* you are sending, either from a text file or some other means.

I'm looking for a similar answer. I use Jazler it has an xml and text file that it updates on the computer that the software is running on. It can ftp it to a website but this has caused me no end of trouble.
I've got the php script from stream solutions (i think) in the uk. I just want to workout how to pull the info from the xml file instead of pulling it from the shoutcast server. I too use the line in on winamp so i can process with DSP plugins. But hey no song titles! sorry i'm no direct help |

i beg to differ ...putting titles in the shoutcast source window is simple. i posted a program to do it while back ,but it only works with zararadio software & soundcard.
as far as the disconnecting from shoutcast server that has never happened to me & my program updates SC every 3 seconds. .. LCR1610AM & KWPA 103.1 FM Radio Tech on ShoutCast search for (Local Radio & Music) http://ww2.whidbey.net/lcr1610am Most computer errors happen between the keyboard & the chair! |
