How about an auto-update button?

I just received the e-mail notification about the newer version of Winamp but, it's not clear as to which download I should click. The free download? If I click on Pro which is what I want it takes me to the pay more money link. There should either be a link on the download page for current Pro users or include an auto-update button in the program itself. Wouldn't be a bad idea to have the program check for a newer version when it loads. Oops, I just had to edit this after I found a check in the "check for newer version" under the general preferences of my program. So it would appear that the check for newer versions check does nothing and needs to be fixed.

The problem I am having right now is that I can't remember my password and the website was supposed to send it to me via e-mail but, I've been waiting for 30 minutes or more and I have received no such e-mail.

I also read the sticky about previously requested features and I'm not sure if the "Custom zoom / pan & scan options" covers the option I was thinking about. The exact option I would like under video playback would be the ability to watch a video at 2x speed or 3x speed etc. So that's what I would like to see added to Winamp. tnx

Dang, I can't believe I missed that little text.. Must be blind this morning. Still the look for new version doesn't appear to work in the previous version or it should have popped up and let me know about the new version and hopefully take me to a download link for Pro. Thanks much..

the full version is the same as pro. only it doesn't ask for the serial.

if you already have a serial, then it should be all unlocked.

When I click on the little orange icon at the top left of the new Winamp it says Winamp Pro at the top of the list but, I was looking for some registration confirmation elsewhere and I have yet to find it. The older version had that in a pretty easy to find place.

Oh yeah, I have yet to receive a password reminder to ke4rzi at wolfplayer.us or possibly I registered the program under dynosaur at wolfplayer.us

Did you install the essentials pack? I think there is a plugin in there that removes the pro details/confirmation dialog (preferences lite'n or something) for those that are registered .

Yeah, I think I did install the essentials pack a couple months ago and I am a registered Pro user. I need to look up my registration info that I believe I ordered via my laptop and see if I can find my info there since apparently the Winamp site has lost my login info or I didn't register with one of the e-mail addresses that I normally use.
