Unstable Winamp
I've been having some stability issues with various versions of winamp. I started with 5.33, then upgraded to 5.35, and then to 5.5 just yesterday, and I'm having the same issue.
It opens and runs fine, but it will crash randomly, sometimes frequently, sometimes infrequently (It's crashed 3 times today) I have tried doing a complete uninstall and starting over, but I still get the same problem. The only plugin I have is the TomSteady volume leveler, and there doesn't seem to be a link between the crashes and it trying to play certain file types

Actually the useful log would be my_plugins_list.txt, not my_extension_list.txt.
i.e. "Generate listing of installed plugins and supported file extensions" Also, do you get any detailed error messages? |

I don't get any error messages, apart from "winamp has performed an illegal operation and has been forced to exit" or whatever the message is...the generic program crash message.

Try disabling the following plugins (by moving them out of the Winamp plugins folder while Winamp is closed: C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins), and see if the issue persists.
TomSteady Audio Filter [dsp_tom.dll] WinAmp Control for Google Desktop 1.0 [gen_zxGDControl.dll] |

That seems to have fixed it. I have a feeling it might have been the Google Desktop plugin, so I'm going to put the audio filter back on and see what happens

Turns out it's the TomSteady plugin, so I guess I'll have to find a new volume leveling plugin
