play PLS on a embedded flash player

Hi Guys,

Im a newbie in shoutcast but were able to install it. Guys question, is it possible to play .pls in an embedded flash player. Our goal is to provide custom player via browser.

There are some plash players out there but this has been a massive problem to get it to work properly without memory leaks.

so there is no definitive answer to your question as flash players are still in development stages.

it may or it may not as it depends on how it is handled

it may be just ip and port or /listen.pls or listen.m3u etc

anyone who can suggest to me those 3rd party flash player. I saw this one http://www.draftlight.net/dnex/mp3pl...explained.php, im not sure if its fine to purchase

...doing some review and search now.

As of the last time I knew you can not stream threw a browser and flash. Even with the cross browser codig it wont allow the stream. It will work on the computer but not the browser. You can play a .pls file if its not streaming. .pls is just a playlist extention for winamp and itunes will use it to. so you can upload alot of muisc to your site creat a .pls using those songs and the flash player will load them just like your winamp. This will not work the same way with your streaming.pls cause its not loacated on the same site. So give up now.

there are those of us who have tried for over 3 years now. Untill flash comes out with a less secure playing alowing cross site streaming it wont work. And dont count on them doign that anytime soon. Im sure nick@ss can give you the link to there site with the coding for all the plug in players. use them thats your only option right now.
