When I first downloaded WinAmp, I was able to "tune in" to all this great music SHOUTcast offers. But now, when I try to listen to a SHOUTcast stream, I get an ERROR message that reads: no .WAV writing support for SHOUTcast streams due to copywright issues. Could someone point me in the right direction for an answer to this rather vexing problem, please?

Yessir. You most likely have the Disk Writer output plugin activated. Go to preferences in Winamp (CTRL+P), plugins/output, and choose the waveOut plugin.

he is right, the only thing this means is you can LISTEN to the music on shoutcast servers but NOT save to disk
