i'm trying to setup on-demand services and i'm having a little trouble. the only file names recognized in the /content dir are mp3. The faq says that as long as the file name exists as mp3 the pls will automatically be created. Mine isn't doing this. Is there something I need to enable?
Another question. When feeding on demand, the mp3s have to be the kb/s that you want to feed at, right? Is there a way to down the bitrate on the fly? Any help is appreciated... ![]() -Squillis |

I've found a solution for on demand streaming with the use of sub folders and directories. ShoutCast is not required for this but the ability to run ASP scripts is. Check out a working example at http://www.babyjesus.net . The pls file sent to Winamp is created on the fly just like in ShoutCast's content directory. If you would like to find out more on how this works email me at kids@the-pool.net .
