Is there a way to keep the SHOUTcast Status page private? Someone has linked to my status page on their web site and since I can't change the IP address of the computer is there a different Port I can use or a setting to have the Status page require a password. I had my Shoutcast unlisted so I'm not sure how the address was gotten. Is there a way I can remove the http://129.12.23.123:8000 (this is a false address) from appearing. Thanks.

you cant change the fact that he is showing your stats page. You can pull his if you want tho
its the shoutcast server port after the IP such as 1.2.3.4:8000 thats for a default setup on IP address 1.2.3.4 if its bothering you/freaking you out then just make sure you set a good password and restart the server. Or send him an email asking him why its on his site and ask him to take it off good luck Rob www.robnielson.com:8000 ledzeppelin 24.7 |

Thanks I'll do just that. I would have asked him/her to remove the reference to my page, but the page had no contact infomation. I now made it a private shoutcast, it's main purpose was just for my friends and my self to listen while at work anyhow. Being 6 floor down in the Earth has horrible radio reception. Thanks again.

You can always ban his ass next time you see him connect to your stream too.
