can't find my winamp playlists!

I have created about 60 playlists but can locate only 15 of 'em - the oldest ones - in my computer's "My Playlists" folder in "My documents".

The rest are AWOL. They aren't in my Winamp folder and a "playlist" search of my computer (Windows XP) produces nothing.

Also, BTW, the "manage Playlists" line in the Winamp "Library" button is opening at all. I click and nothing happens.

Any fix? Thanks!

Are the AWOL playlists "regular" playlists (main playlist editor) or Media Library playlists?

If they are ML playlists, depending on your Winamp install, they will be in...

C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins\ml

-or-

%appdata%\Winamp\Plugins\ml Where %appdata% is a shortcut to the 'Application Data'/'User Settings' folder. You can click on the Start button > click the Run icon and put %appdata%\Winamp Plugins\ml in the Open box and click OK. That should bring you to the Winamp's Media Library data folder in 'Application Data'/'User Settings'.

The actual path will vary with the current Windows version you are using. Example...

Windows 2000 Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Winamp\Plugins\ml

Windows Vista
c:\users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Winamp\Plugins\ml

The names for the media library playlists, will be plfseveral random letters and or numbers.m3u8. Example: plfS2D5.m3u8 There might be a chance the some of the files will have the .m3u extension instead of .m3u8 (just speculation on my part).

Check the other thread you posted in for the "missing" library issue.
