Ok, I know I must be screwing up somewhere OBVIOUS, but it sure ain't obvious to me.
When I start broadcasting, I have the Shoutcast Source plugin set for AUTO in both the song title and URL directly below, but nothing appears to outside listeners except the station name. Am I missing a config setting or something? There's about 500+ MP3's in a subdirectory tree (i.e., not all in the Shoutcast/CONTENT directory, but THAT shouldn't be the reason, should it?? Is there a more detailed how-to available somewhere to the dang "now playing" and play history can have some content?? Ray P.S.: Here's something else that may give a clue... I added my ICQ number, and although the server shows it's transferring out in an icy line, it doesn't appear on yp.shoutcast.com! FWIW, I *did* upgrade to Winamp 2.64, DCAS 1.666.1, and am still using the 1.50b2 Shoutcast plugin. Halllp!! [This message has been edited by CityHunter (edited June 13, 2000).] |

I am having a problem with Title streaming as well, which is strange as I had it working for months with no problem before. Unfortunately, I don't remember when it stopped working, it may have been when I upgraded the Shoutcast server to 1.70 (may have been before that). I'm using 1.7.1 now, and Shoutcast 2.64 I believe (I'm not at home, and I have a different version on every machine). If I ever figure out WHY it stopped working, I'll post what it is.
I'm thinking I'm missing something obvious too... (Winamp is set to "Auto" "Auto" for song title/URL, and the shoutcast.ini has just %s for it's Title setting). plucky |

I think you hit the nail on the head... It would be my guess that you still have the semicolon ; in front of the %s (in the INI file)... which comments it out.
If so, remove the semicolon... Good luck. |

To put an end to this one, I may have posted it in a different thread, but it was the fact I was using the MuchFX2 plugin stacker. This plugin was what was preventing it from streaming the titles
![]() I have since changed the stacker I'm using to "DSP Stacker", which is working just fine so far (a week straight so far?), and streaming the titles properly! Woohoo! plucky |
