Ok all, here's more skinny on PCDJ..
Here's a hidden DLL from webhancer it leaves that you cannot remove (more on that in a few) normally. C:\Program Files\webHancer\Programs>dir Volume in drive C is CDRIVE Volume Serial Number is 1967-19D7 Directory of C:\Program Files\webHancer\Programs . <DIR> 10-24-00 9:42p . .. <DIR> 10-24-00 9:42p .. WBHSHARE DLL 69,632 10-16-00 2:07p WBHSHARE.DLL 1 file(s) 69,632 bytes 2 dir(s) 189,169,664 bytes free C:\Program Files\webHancer\Programs> This is after it's all deleted, it even stays hooked while in trash, and you cannot remove it from there either. *Workaround* Reboot to a DOS prompt and attempt to delete it before you start windows. Do I seem anal about this?? Damn right I am, they sneak this crap in on you and it pisses me off ![]() I'll talk to webhancer and see what they say. I thought they were a good co.? mebbe not... I finally got a response from PCDJ today about the problem I had with their software from what, two weeks ago? How long does it take to tell someone what system files, DLLs and registry tweaks you do? Anyway, their message was to delete/uninstall web-enhancer, something I didn't even know I had. I knew that PCDJ was garbage, but finding this unecessary shit makes it even worse.
Anyone know how to get rid of this DLL in Win2k? |
