I am stuck behind a firewall at uni which I have NO control over and would like to be able to run a shoutcast server behind the firewal so we can have a big party on my floor where we all play the same music (could be fun, Vodka Jelly at the ready.....)
What I need to know is what I do to not have it authenticate with SHOUTcast main server. I guess the question is, do I have to get it to run round the firewall and connect or can I just set it up without doing so? The network is 172.16.xxx.yyy based and there is both socks (do not want to use a socks client though) and http (v. limited) access avavilable. THis uni is starting to act like a black hole, information is downloaded but it is impossible to send it out! ------------------ [DM]Caveman Add me to ICQ (Click here) Blow ICQ, send me a message anyway. dmcaveman@hotmail.com www.dm-clan.co.uk |

me = stupid. Doh!
Got the server, found out how to configure it and then I realise my friend can not connect cause he has screwed his system by installing and deleting Real PLayer (he does not uninstall things).
