Is it possible to update the stream title through ssh while being logged in to the streaming server (linux)?

Yes it is, through a HTTP-GET command like
www . shoutrds . com does.

It looks like http fserver : port / admin.cgi?pass=password&song=the%20stream%20title&mode=updinfo[/url] (out of my head, so might be incorrect).

That works perfect. Since the title could be updated like this, is it possible for the rest of the infomration as well?

I've tried it a lot but didn't manage to update it this way. If somebody knows it please post it here

you should write a book, shoutcast server undocumented features lol.

I've found in another topic that variables like icq, url, aim etc can only be updated when the source connects (through the encoder) how it exacly updates I don't know but I think through the mpeg data send to the stream when it connects.
