I have configured everything to specs on the server side and plugin. It connects to shoutcast listing, and then when I broadcast, nothing goes out. I can hear it on my own speakers, but when I connect to see if its playing through another computer, there is no audio. After checking my cable modem I noticed that I was not transmitting the audio, but the song titles were transmitting just fine. ANYONE HELP ME!!!!!!

Check that your firewall isn't stripping the packet.

Im using my own computer as the server at home. I shouldnt have a firewall to deal with that I know of. I am broadcasting with that same computer. It just seems like Im not sending the stream over my cable modem. The DNAS connects, sends my info to the shoutcast directory, the playlist runs like it should and I can hear the music, but it doesnt stream out. Should it be trasmitting if nobody is connected? Last time I tried to connect I got everything, but the music.

I have the same setup and problem I think (but posted it later). All appears well on the server side, including the plug-in display of song titles and entry in the shoutcast YP's, but I get disconnected with a "no source (15s)" timeout. The playlist is running, the DSP is connected to the server... I have no idea what it could be.

Typically this is because someone is using Advanced Mode in the SHOUTcast plug-in without understanding how soundcards work. If this is the case, check the README that comes with the SHOUTcast DSP for in-depth info on how to configure the plug-in.

Are you streaming a CD or an MP-3 File???

I had the same problem trying to stream a CD

Will work fine with a Mp-3 File from my disk

no problem. I assume that the cd is not being converted to the proper format. or is not streaming to the server. If I play a cd
it will however put the titles up on the server. Anyone that Knows how to directly stream from a CD or better yet directly from the input of the soundcard converting to MP-3/ Shoutcast format info would be appreciated
