Shout Cast & Router don't get along

I have linksys and I think I set everything
right by opening up port from 7999 ~ 8010, 80
and 666. However, whoever hits my machine
can not hear the sound!! they can see the server and page. What is wrong? what am I
doing wrong? Please enlighten me! thanks.

You almost had it, if they can get your server page then your router is passing them through just like it is supposed to. I think the problem is the link you are providing to people, for a link try http://server

ort/listen.pls if they want to manually type it into Winamp the server

ort should be enough. It sounds like the link you provided is just server

ort or people are typing server

ort into there web browser.

Give that a try and if you are still having problems post back here and we'll see what we can do (also if you post back put up your server

ort so we can see what page you are talking about (it is just the shoutcast server page where you can see the last songs you played, right?))

(mp3 file in the content directory of the
shoutcast server) works

but winamp->net does not work, so could this
be plug-in problem?

I have the same settings for my shoutcast (with a linksys router). It used to work fine, it was once even listed at yp.shoutcast.com. after reinstalling, for some reason, I can't get it listed. anyways, http://Ip

ort works fine though. actually this is the only way to listen to my station for now.

It sounds like the link you provided is just serverort or people are typing serverort into there web browser.
