Sound skips When in Full Screen

Hi, I'm using windows vista
I have a 8800gt with a quad core

my problem is while watching videos in full screen, my sound will skip ahead and be off sync from the actual video. If, I bring it back to non full screen, the video clip will speed up and sync with the sound again.

This only happens with winamp, other plays like vlc/wmp work ok.

Any help is appreciated.

Try the following...
DirectSound Config Tweaks

Also maybe the following...
1. Winamp > Ctrl+P
2. General Preferences > Video
3. check or uncheck 'Allow hardware video overlay'
and/or
check or uncheck 'Synchronize video to screen refresh rate'

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

From the Troubleshooters/FAQ sitcky...
Video Playback Issues.

As indicated in that link, usually installing ffdshow fixes many video playback problems.
