You know what I'm talking about. Those little black flies that buzz around your ears and hair. I found a few of them after they had been pissing me off by doing that while I slept and kept waking me up. That was part of the reason I didn't sleep very well last night.

Now I'm up early. I should be asleep still. But no. Damn flies.

I took one before I went to bed. I was hoping it would help. I felt better but the flies still bothered me.

You mean my pajamas? I wash them every couple of days at least. I also washed my blankets.

I also sleep on the floor on top of a sleeping bag. Not in a bed.

Simple solution: 50% apple cider vinegar, 50% water, and a little bit of dish soap in a cup. They will be attracted to the cider, land on it and drown. Remember to empty the cup and refill about every day.

i know what he means, for some reason at least in oregon there's been tons of flies and they still haven't gone away despite it not being hot at all anymore.

every once in a one gets pissed off and like attacks my ear.
it's not a cleanliness thing either, it's that fact that a few of them got inside and started screwing like jackrabbits and they still come in from outside every once in a while too.

i dont think so as they plant their eggs in the water and it takes some time for them to go from egg to fly.

You can just use flat beer with some soap floated on top too. For flies, some flypaper strips work fine. 4/$1 at the dollar store.

I used to use that stuff in my garage all the time - I swear by it, but I think the smell of it would be too much for me in a bedroom. Are there any available without that strong scent?

Luckily I don't get indoor bugs - out here small bugs get blown away in the 24/7 wind long before they could ever enter a building. We mostly have very large bugs here, and the screens are more than enough to keep them out.

We did have a situation where a rattlesnake came in though - door was propped in to bring in boxes from a delivery. I swept it out with a broom and all was well.
