my downloaded mp3s have no sound

Just recently, my WinAmp won't play any of the songs that I have downloaded on my computer. I checked my preferences- the output and input- and they're set right, i think, but no sound will come out of my speakers. Winamp shows the song playing, but i don't hear anything. However, it will play mp3s off of websites, without downloading them. Is it Winamp or my computer that would cause this and how can i fix it? thanks- Corrine

Try going to Options
Preferences

waveOut plugin should be highlighted
(right now it is probably on something else)
