Ever since I downloaded Winamp 2.62 I am having trouble with disk defragmenting. I always have to uninstall
Winamp, defragment then re-install Winamp. This is a pain in the brain. Wassa up? Did I download Winamp wrong? Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix for this? Please help. Thanx...Lynnster |

I simply don't run any (background) programs while defragging. There's always a risk one will access the HD, and then the defragmentation starts ALL over.
It's a lot easier than finding all kinds of small applications that prevent this and that from happening. |

Chromed Dragon...Thanx for the advice but as far as I know I am not running any applications in the background when I de-frag. The problem started when I downloaded Winamp. I don't wanna give up Winamp, I've got some awesome music on there! Do you suppose that Winamp is always running in the background? I don't want to sound ignorant, but I am a "newbie."Thanx again...Lynnster
