yeah definetly.

not quite seizures, but some of the laser concert things they do at OMSI here in that dome theater thing make me almost get motion sickness (which, i've never had anywhere else, which is why it's so strange), the worst one is this big 3D cube grid they do that moves around on the ceiling and the grid lines go across and up and down it, looks cool as fuck, but i can't watch it too long.

only that one really though.

Any time I try to open a .rar file (with 7zip), I get a small error window that says "incorrect command line"...

How do I fix that?

By double-clicking (ie. not from the 7zip file manager)?
In that case:
Windows Explorer > Folder properties > File types > rar > advanced > open
should look something like this:

application: "C:\program files\7-Zip\7zFM.exe" "%1"
use DDE - checked
application: 7zFM
theme: System
all other fields empty

Or you could simply try removing and re-adding the file associations from the 7zip file manager (tools > options).

Fuck this place.

Oh wow, you have some very old stuff of mine in there Sad to see some of the presets "break" though, like that one that was just black&white grain and flashed around (can't even think what preset it could have been to break so badly). And the line in chrome deluxe was annoying too it's suppose to be smooth & perfect

Oh and Media Player Classic played the video just fine, no problems here.

that was awe-inspiring, thanks. I'm not very much into AVS, but i recognized a lot of the effects from my own Milkdrop Pixelshader experiments - especially the stuff from the first 60 seconds.

I have a 64 bit computer running Vista Home Premium x64. When I try to install the .msi (64 bit) version of 7zip, I get this:

I'm the administrator, logged into my administrative account, but alas it still doesn't allow the installation.

So, I try installing the 32 bit version (.exe), and it looks to be a successful install, but when I try to double click a .rar file that has the 7zip icon on it, I get:

@ G2: I saw your tutorial, but I'm unsure how to get to the folder properties in Vista.

About the only way I can find that works to extract using 7zip is to first open the GUI, second, browse for the file, then click the extract button (and finally tell it where to extract to)...

If there's a faster way, tell me.

Don't forget to live before you die.

what about winrar or wincab?
I have a Vista 64 Ultimate and winrar works fine.

(besides your problem looks more like a authorization thing)

cant you run the installer as administrator when rightclicking it? maybe that helps.
also you could try using the rightclick menue and select 7zip->extract to...

They moved it to the control panel (Default Programs > Associate filetype or protocol with a program).
But that only allows you to select a program (same as right-click > open with). Apparently if you want to fix the command line you'll have to use regedit. Hooray for Vista!

close to the one i mentioned, but nah, not it, it's a cube layed flat that you're looking at is if you were inside the opposite wall, the grid moves left and right and up and down and it moves around on the screen they display it on.

still no clue why it made me feel like i'd puke if it went on much longer and to date i've never seen a single thing do that either.

@TDM - if you have a fast graphics card (Geforce-8 or Ati's HD series*), then try my Milkdrop 3D hack. If these don't get you seasick i dunno...

(* ATI cards require the MD2.1beta)

Not quite fullscreen, but still being able to run and capture it at 640x640* isn't bad.

No broken presets this time I think, but for some reason the random mode always has to pick at least one of them twice. The completely broken one must have been from Rip Off, though a few from Strobotonic also looked pretty bad.

(Oh, and the reason MPC wouldn't play the sound was the shitty Nero splitter.)

*iirc at least the older presets were designed for a square window and may look distorted in a rectangular one
