No Sound on Winamp
Hey, I'm experiencing a bit of a problem when running Winamp. I checked the recommended threads, and made a few changes but it still doesn't work. I open it, it shows no errors whatsoever, click play, the song shows up as if it's playing but there's no sound.
I've already tried reinstalling it (hoping maybe it's a configuration thing and it'll revert to its default config) and it still doesn't work. I really can't understand what could've went wrong as long as it was working just fine a couple of days ago. Erm..help? |

Is there audio for your other Windows apps? Can you watch DVDs on your computer with the sound working?
Check the PHYSICAL audio cable from the speakers to the back (or front) of your computer. Also, double clik the "speaker" (volume icon) on the Windows taskbar and make sure none of the "Mute" buttons are checked; it is possible that another application might have muted all your Wave, CD Player or Line-in volume controls. If all else fails, fully uninstall then reinstall, or install a previous version of Winamp. Pablo |
