Problem with WMP

Hello all! I'm currently using ShoutCast to stream my music online and everything works fine. But when i try to use WMP to listen to my radio it just plays a little and then stops completly saying it is buffering. But if i try with Winamp it works really fine.

If you want to test it out for yourself then use this:
IP: stream1.radyjko.net
Port: 7850

If any of you could help me i would appreciate a lot.

Thank you,
HelKing

Firt, let me warn you..
Stream is up at 64 kbps with 0 of 999 listeners (0 unique)
Lying or exaggerating your capacity is a god way to get yourself banned from the SHOTUcfast listings.

Maximum listeners is upload bandwidth / bitrate.

Looks like WMP doesn't like your intro file, make sure it is the exact same bit-rate and frequency as your actual stream.

Thank you for your reply, but i must say i'm not the one who is hosting the server so the one who would get banned is the host :P which i think they won't. I'm using a different host to stream my radio. And also that intro file must be good because the host made it and not me. Anyway if it's not good then it shouldn't work with winamp, which does. The problem is streaming with WMP.

If WMP doesn`t play your intro file and the bitrate and samplerate are correct, nobody here can help you.

It must have a way because other servers can stream through WMP :S . I have some plugins installed too... Do you think that's it?

Plugins installed:

AudioProc v1.50
LoudMax
Equalizer by nevi
ViPER's Audio eXperience

You can try it with a clean install of wmp (without any plug-in`s).

You may need to drop the intro file if you want things to work with WMP.

As for the faking numbers bit. Yes, hosts do get banned, we ban them all the time. Right now, with the current state of things with the admin that manage the bans, if you get banned we have no way to unban you (though more often than not, we really don't unban anyone for this sort of thing). If you are not doing it, then I would send a note to your host telling them to cut it out before it is too late.

Intros do not work like that,

you need to ensure you are streaming at the same bitrate / frequency / channel as the intro or it will cause you problems.

How do you see the bitrate of the intro?

you will need to ask the host if they created it for you and you do not have access to it,

its more about frequency and channel than bitrate but best to keep it all matching.
