Gapless Playback

Winamp disappoints listeners of audio CDs in which track markers were inserted into a continuous performance. Wnaspi32.dll can be added to Winamp, but shouldn't a gapless playback option (perhaps a "join tracks" selection or default gapless playback when playing two or more tracks) come with the player?

Thanks for your reply to my Gapless Playback post. However, my point is that gapless playback should be the default behavior for Winamp. I know that it is for iTunes, for example.

gapless playback broken with full file buffering option enabled

The gapless playback of mp3 files broken with full file buffering option set to 15000 Kb in the in_mp3 options dialog.

It's because the winamp reads whole file to the memory and it's cause a buffer underrun.

I use out_ks.dll kernel streaming plugin. The gapless playback works even with the smallest buffers. But if i enable this option then gapless playback is broken.

Could you read 150 kb chunk of the next song 5 second before the current song end. Then wait till the current song end then free the memory then read the whole file into memory ?

In any way thank you for creating winamp !
