You'll need to register the dll's first
If running on Windows Vista or 7, then go to:
Start -> Programs -> Accessories:
Right click "Command Prompt"
and select: Run as administrator
If on Win2k/XP, then you can just start the command prompt as normal,
eg. via: Start -> Run -> cmd
Type the following, hitting Enter after each line
(wait for the "DLL register success" message each time):
Where "X:\Path\To" is the exact path to the Winamp program folder, eg.
32-bit OS default dir:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins\Gracenote\CddbMusicIDWinamp.dll"
64-bit OS default dir:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Winamp\Plugins\Gracenote\CddbMusicIDWinamp.dll"
The first line/file is specifically for MusicID/Autotag
The next two are for CDDB
The last one is for Playlist Generator
You might only need to register CddbMusicIDWinamp.dll to get Autotag to work,
because afaik, the two cddb dll's should already be registered....
Or you can just create a .bat batch file in Notepad and run that instead
(you'll need to run it as admin (via rt-click) under Win7/Vista)
I assume you've also copied gracenote.w5s to the Winamp\System folder?
(though it should already be there).
For others wondering how ofsahin might have obtained the extra DLL's...
Download the Full or Pro installer,
open it in 7Zip
(9.1x beta version or newer)
and manually extract the files from \Plugins\Gracenote
