New iphone app that supports HE-AAC (aac+v2)
There is finally a new iPhone app that supports the HE-AAC(aac+v2) encoding!
![]() Unfortunately it isn't free ![]() http://www.apptism.com/apps/tuner2 I have not tested this since I refuse to own an iphone/touch. Knowing who wrote this, it should work just fine. At $9.00 a would suspect that a lot of people will be willing to buy it. Your mileage may vary! |

Lots of information at http://www.indexcom.com/iphone/
It is made to help promote the Orban encoder, but obviously it also works with streams encoded with Winamp. Also nice is that it lets you enter an url for a stream so that you don't have to jump through hoops to enter your favorite station. Your mileage may vary! |

yeah... I expeced this from Apple. Making the best lossy codec playback not free makes me even more angry about the iphone. If they don't make changes like playing he-aac files and flash content (v 10+) I will never buy Iphone.
