Using Podcasts and IPod
Hi
After 6 months of dealing with ITunes, I am more than fed up. 1. Does WinAmp support syncing my newly downloaded podcasts to my Ipod automatically? 2. Does WinAmp support putting podcasts under the "podcast" menu-item on my Ipod? 3. Does WinAmp support saving where I got to in a podcast/audiobook, so I dont have to forward manually? This is of course in relation to my IPOd, not on my PC. I hardly use my IPod for music, but mostly for podcasts and audiobooks. After about 30 minutes of playing around with WinAmp and Ipod, I cant seem to figure out if I am missing something, or WinAmp does not support these key features for the podcasts/Ipod-combo. My Ipod id a 3g nano btw... |

Winamp supports Podcasts. Open your Media Library and choose "Podcast Directory" from the sidebar.
However, the built-in iPod support doesn't seem to handle audiobooks properly. The popular third-party one (ml_ipod) does handle them properly however. Should you switch to ml_ipod, any further questions you ask should be posted here. And again, if you switch, check out the ml_ipod Wiki page on Podcasts/Audiobooks. ml_ipod download link |
