Linksys problems

okay, i've gone through all the port forwarding steps. all i need to know is do i use the IP from like http://www.whatsmyip.org/

or another one

i put in my IP like xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8000 from http://www.whatsmyip.org/

and the program will not pick up my station, 192.168.1.102 is on at the ranges of 8000 to 8001, what IP do i use to connect to my station?
