Playback paused when screen goes blank in Vista

Hi everyone!

My Winamp pauses any music it is playing when the screen goes blank after the time set in the power management options in the Control Panel. The options also are set to prevent the system going into suspend mode when playing multimedia and other aplications like MPC work fine.

I am using a clean install of Winamp 5.552 on Vista SP1.

Did anyone see this behavior? Can anybody help?

-HP Pavilion s3620la
-Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 / 3GB RAM
-Integrated Realtek HD audio
-Integrated nVidia GeForce 7100
-Windows Vista SP1 and DirectX 10
