Does shoutcast.com host a list of URL's to direct streams?

Hello all. I am new here (first post) and understand that I do not use shoutcast, myself, but have run into a php coding problem that I need help with, regarding shoutcast. I hope you all can help.

In researching the shoutcast site (and these forums) I have noticed that while shoutcast.com lists the sites of station, the URL's presented are mainly for the stations homepages. Is there a way to get a list of the url's of the actual streams themselves? Something I could plug into my own listener (client), I mean. If such a list exists, having it itemized by genre would be icing.

What I am trying to accomplish with my project is, is to have a php script on my own site that could periodically (once or twice a day) poll shoutcast.com for a list of url's (of the type I need), and update that onto a flat (text) file, which would also be on my site.

The primary purpose being to maintain a list of *active* stations, and to update the list, if a station happens to go offline.

Being new here, and a non-shoutcast user, I welcome *all* tips, tricks, comments, and advice - including negative ones - as long as they are contructive.

Thanks in advance.

Nope.
(Plus continual polling of shoutcast.com can get your entire IP subnet blocked form accessing the site)

You need to seek permission to use the yp before you go writing programs.

There is little support for what you are trying to achieve around these parts as this place is mainly for the broadcasters and not the developers.

Doesn't stop any of the rippers (or whatever) from getting our station listing when it is on the YP.

Your mileage may vary!
