Winamp has encountered a problem...

Hey guys.. I am new here and all that thanks to my fricken trouble. The problem is that when i try to play some .avi files in winamp, i have this pop-up thingie and it says

Winamp has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

i've scanned it and avg reports no viruses..
i've also tried to delete gen_ff. dll but it is not helping. it happens only with certain files, which are not broken, or damaged.

ps: this already happened before, " windows explorer has encountered a problem..." but i've solved it. now, it's with winamp only, althought i used to get there 2 error reports at the same time ( depending what i opened)
