Request: A little Smart View Query Language love.
I just noticed with a "Simple Album View" with "Large Icon Album Art" selected in "Pane Options" you are able to sort the albums by Tracks, and these are actually the numbers of tracks in the ML for each album name. Winamp clearly already works out these numbers under the hood, so can we get access to them through the Query Language please?
If I recall correctly, the TRACKS variable in the Query Language currently refers to the total in the Track # ID3 tag (ie. 10 in "1/10"). This is much less useful for Smart View building than the above proposal. Another thought I had was if your comparisons could contain more than one variable the query language itself would be exponentially more powerful. The current format is <field> <comparison> <value> but it would be better if your <value> could also be a "field" variable, such as "?FOLDER ends YEAR" and other cool ideas. These would make my Winamp year. Thank you. |
