Embed help
I was wondering how I would go about embedding a player on my site.
I've tried some that were posted here but either my browser or computer can't play them or something went wrong. (Tried it in IExplorer, Firefox, and lolifox.) Also, a few questions. - Once I do have it on my site, how would I connect to it and how would other people connect to it so I could stream to them? - How would I let other people broadcast their music? - How much bandwidth should I have? - Is there limits or rules to what I can stream? - Will it take up a lot of storage on my site? That is all, and I hope this hasn't been asked 1000 times though I'm sure it has. (None of the other threads about this general thing helped me.) |

I think you may be confusing an embedded player with a shoutcast server.
do you already have a shoutcast server or is this what you need? Most webhosts do not allow you to install shoutcast on their servers so if that is the case then you need to either A/ install it on your home pc or B/ look into shoutcast hosting Your webhost will be able to tell you if you can install shoutcast or not. both have their drawbacks if you choose A you will not have enough bandwidth. if you choose B then its going to cost you money. if you choose to stream copyright music then you "should" have the relevant licenses to be legal. |
